Beechcraft Baron 58 – From Analogue to Glass Cockpit
Scandinavian Avionics Bromma transformed this 2000 Beechcraft Baron 58 with a comprehensive Garmin avionics upgrade, completed in 2023.
The installation features a 10.6-inch G500 TXi flight display, a dedicated 7-inch portrait display for monitoring both engines, GI 275 standby instrumentation, GTN 750Xi and GTN 650Xi GPS/NAV/COM navigators, GMA 35c audio and GWX 75 weather radar. A four-servo GFC 600 autopilot replaced the previous KFC 225.
With a redesigned instrument panel and obsolete avionics wiring removed, the result is a modern, integrated cockpit with a clear overview of flight, navigation, engine and weather information.
