Scandinavian Avionics Design
A company that evolved together with the rise of EASA
Scandinavian Avionics Design (SA Design) was established in 2003, at a vital time for European aviation. JAA had been replaced by EASA and from day one it was obvious to us that the Part 21J Design Organization Approval (DOA) would be a vital part of supporting our customers and growth of The SA Group. Today, SA Design is a cornerstone of The SA Group value-chain and reputation in the industry, with numerous groundbreaking projects completed. SA Design operates from
The SA Group headquarters in Billund, Denmark, and our experienced and competent colleagues are spread across the globe, working from various locations.
With our Part 21J DOA, +20 years of experience, and a highly skilled team, SA Design handlesdesign and certification tasks for the other departments of The SA Group and for external customers.
More than 2000 STC and certification programs approved
SA Design has grown significantly over the past 20+ years, continuously expanding our design scope. Today, we can look back at having developed and delivered thousands of certification programs, ranging from simple task to highly complex special mission conversions and complete cockpit modernization programs.
SA Design completes The SA Group’s circle of capabilities and contributes significantly to the opportunities and requirements we meet in the market. Having all certification and engineering handled within the group provides major advantages and high flexibility for our customers, allowing us to act as a true “one-stop-shop”.
